Hey I just wanted to get on here and not just start throwing questions out like other fngs. My name is Jesse I live in central texas all I think about is duck hunting and everything that goes with it. I am a autocad drafter for a electrical contracting firm and I also like to weld. My buddy is giving me a 10' jon boat this week and I want to get it titled and build a longtail for it maybe a 6.5 blue clone ive been looking on the threads trying to find some help any links would help any pics would help. hopefully well see ya on the water(but not to close i dont like geting peppered)

a 18 hp on a 10' jon could i wake board behind it lol. im hopeing the challenge is to build it myself i have the cad exp. and i can weld and i have access to a waterjet just need a little pocket change and a little clear direction

well i got my HF 6.5 blue clone this morning from there parking lot sale for 99 bucks found a few web sites on mods for the motor. first thing is to take the governor out and them throttle linkage change and then remote gas tank. ill try and do a write up as this whole process goes along any links or help from others that have gone through this thanks in advance.

well to answer that i don't have a aluminum tig welder my buddy owns a sign company and can build them out of aluminum but they will riveted on and i know what everyone thinks about rivets but system he has he says they wont leak but (and i think the same way you do "if" it does than the foam will add the flotation. we may
rethink all of this when we get there but for now thats the plan.
