 longtail throttle modifications
Hey guys. I'm new to the site and glad to be here. Been browseing for a long time looking for a mudmotor to buy. I finally found one, picked up a 2006 31hp beavertail and now I have a question. The throttle is very hard to run. I almost need both hands, 1 to run the throttle and the other to steer because I can't push the throttle to full throttle and steer at the same time. I'm thinking of changing the throttle to something like the Surface drives have. Has anyone done this?

 Re: longtail throttle modifications
Personaly, I would stay with the stock throttle on an LT. It just takes getting used to but it's not hard to operate the throttle and steer at the same time. The screw in the middle of the control may need adjustment and/or lube.

 Re: longtail throttle modifications
This is what I used. I took a 1 in hole saw and made the bracket bigger for the handle.
