I have a 27 Kohler LT that is only running around 3000 rpms under load. We took off the air filter last night while running and saw it spitting a mist of fuel into the air filter, kinda like it is running way too rich. We've already checked the plugs and regapped em, but I'm sure this is still causing them to missfire. Couldn't get the last screw off the carberatour, otherwise we woulda checked it last night to see if there was any debris in there . Gonna do that after work today.
Anybody run into an issue like this, what did you do ?

yes and it is caused by leaking compression through the valves. Could be they just need to be adjusted. Or they need to be replaced or pushrod is bent.
