What do y'all thin of that combo?

I have a line on a good lookin new war eagle.

Also a guy offered to build a 1642 custom for me with thicker steel for a little more.

Is a war eagle welded hull tough enough?

Lots of stumps where I go, especially when the river is down, like right now. I wont be haulin ass through the narrow parts.

The war eagle WILL work just not to its full potential, especially after the stumps dent up the hull.

A 16x42 would be perfect for that motor I would build it 1/8 alluminum with 5 or 6 1x2 longitudinal braces and 2 or 3 cross braces over the top of those if your runnin bad stumps like me.

Don't need to 'haul ass'. Hell, where my stompin grounds are you wouldnt want to haul ass even if you could :D

When the rivers are high an the current flowin, you still have the bends and logs layin out in the water. And the occasional sandbar shiftin around so you never know where they are.

But anyway, you think a thick welded boat would be better than the war eagle? The logs and stumps can be bad when the rivers are low.

Also gotta drag it off and winch it back up on the trailer when the launch is out of the water.

A well built mud hull will way outperform the War Eagle boat in stumps, veggies and where the hull touches bottom.

Everytime i bring my 1442 express out to my stompin grounds (one of the stumpiest places in Louisiana) I beat it up and slow it down more. The day I find a good deal on a mudhull im jumpin on it!
