 Re: middle shaft bushing
I'm curious what the symptoms or problems are that caused you to want to remove the middle shaft bushing.

 Re: middle shaft bushing
removed drive shaft from end yoke. remove end cap. remove top bushing or bearing housing . take set screw out of middle bushing. pull driveshaft out past middle bushing and then use the shaft to push bushing out the top. does a middle bushing wear out? if it is, im guessing your drive shaft is bent.

 Re: middle shaft bushing
Coco built them for a long time WITHOUT a middle shaft bushing. All it does is keep the shaft from whipping when you get in the heavy stuff.
I remeber the shaft on my 20 LT having a grove in the area of the grease fitting for a LONG time. Mr. Warren told me that was from the shaft whipping and not tom worry about it.
Had the new bearning setup installed in 04' and they installed the center bushing at that time. Go-Devil said that that was just to stop the shaft whip. I ran the motor for 4 years before with no problem.
Just my $.02
