 shaft angle
Hey guys im starting a 25hp LT project and have got alot of the info i need from this forum. But i was needing a angle of the drive shaft from the motor. I dont have acces to any mud motors where im from to copy off of. Its going to be on a 16'' transom and 72" shaft so anything close would be great im guessing its going to be around 15-20 deg.

 Re: shaft angle
i always figured itd best to worry about the length of the shaft more than the angle. the longer shaft is gonna gove u more forward power. the less of an angle on the ujoint, the less the restriction and more power goin to the shaft. the only point for really even having an angle et the ujoint is to keep the motor balanced.

 Re: shaft angle
I went 16 degrees on mine. Works pretty good. That's with a 72'' shaft.
