Post Removing 20 HP Vangaurd
I have a 2001 20HP vanguard Go-Devil that I am trying to remove. I just bought the new 21 HP Honda to replace the motor. I am having an issue getting the long tail off of the motor. It seems to be seized on there really tight and was wondering if anyone had any suggestions? Thanks in adavance!

I guess to better clarify my question.. I am trying to disassemble the U-Joint so i can remove the tail. I can get the retaining clips off and follow the directions in the Go-Devil manual. Once i got the retaining clips off i tried tapping the joint with a hammer to remove the caps like it instructed but am having no luck.. any suggestions?? :?:

I changed out a motor on my gdlt a few months ago. I tried to "tap" out the u-joint with a hammer after removing the clips. i finally got them out by pounding the sh*t out of them. They came apart just fine when i quit hitting them like a little school girl. Hit the yoke where they tell you to and hit them hard and you will have them apart in no time.
