A little help from the pros.
I have a 23 lt, and chance to by 1442 jon boat. Is this enough boat to for that motor, or should I look for something longer and maybe a little wider?

Re: A little help from the pros.
i run a 16 hp gdlt on an alumacraft 1442 and with trolling motor 2 batteries, light weight deck, 200lb friend and cooler full of beers and it does ok, but i would go bigger if you have the chance. 1642 or at least a 1448. i ended up putting pods on, but 2 feet of boat is always better.

Thanks guys, that is what I was thinking. More bottom = better preformance. I guess my wife is going to have to buy me that new 1548 I was looking at. Anybody in metro New Orleans have a legal trailer for sale? CHEEP!!
