Re: low speed RPMs on 23 hp longtail Yep, that's the problem. Mine top out at 2852, which is fine with me as I like the low idle speeds.

Re: low speed RPMs on 23 hp longtail mine idles at about 1200 out of the water and about 950-1050 in the water. top end is about 4030 out of water and 3740-3800 in the water. anything lower than 1200 out of water and it stalls when i drop the prop in the water

Re: low speed RPMs on 23 hp longtail did my tinkerin today got 1200 low end and 3850 high end. think I can live with this. Had to cut jacket on cable and cut grove in throttle stop. Think I can get a little more on hoigh end if I do little more cuttin.
