 23 mud buddy longtail deal?
ive been cruising my local craigslist and found a 1448 alweld with a 23 hp mud buddy longtail with trailer asking $2200. Im newer to mud motors, had a few buddies with em, I was wondering what opinions are on the longtail and if its a good deal or not boat and motor dont look to be overly abused (by mud motor and jon boat standards)
Thanks

If the motor runs good and the boat floats that is a great deal. How good a longtail is depends on your running situations. I love mine and it does everything I need it to. What do you typically need to run through?

Re: 23 mud buddy longtail deal?
I hunt shallow grass flats and back marshes/ swamps in eastern north carolina, not many mud flats just alot of stumps and backwaters we try and get into. My roommate has a jon boat with a 40 tiller for deeper water hunting and my other roommate has a 23 sea ox for scoters on open sound so while speed is a concern its not a primary concern, not really gonna be a multi use duck boat, other than enjoying some cold ones on the river every now an then
