 kohler k582 with no power
does anybody have a link to mods for the Flathead twins kohler K582 ... any guru's i can check to see if i am doing something wrong?? Motor is a k582 out of a generator original it runs great but when in the water power is severely drained, thinking i have a timing issue?? All help is welcomed....

I think http://www.midwestsupercub.net has some k series stuff. Not many people running the smaller kohlers motors here.

this kohler is a 23 hp motor .... just as soon as i find a 35 or a 40 i will be trying it on for size...

Mid west has the biggest selection of aftermarket kohler parts that I know of. If they don't have anything, I don't know who would. I know there is some guys doing work on the k series motors and there are other places who sell parts, just don't know who all of them are. Google is your friend.

Check your flywheel key if sheered it can still run and idle but wont advance the timing correctlyand have no power when put under load just 1 of many things that can be wrong carb,elect.
