Hello newby here I have a home made ebay lt 18 hp. kohler on a 1648 mod v it does ok 16 mph by myself I have a chance to get a 1848 flat jon would this motor push it ok or would i be better of to keep my 1648 any input would be helpful thank you

to carry a load the big flat bottom would def.be better,but lite,i think the 16v would prolly be faster.

thats a lil motor for an 18' boat but if the "chance to get" means a trade,trade it...you will prolly end up with a bigger motor later anyway.

yha its the first mud motor iv had and i love it trying to build up to surface drive in future but i can get 1848 for a good deal
