 Pluming pipe ?
So I have my SS shaft 3/4 6 ft long #10 threads on One end and keyed on the other. But I can't find any 1in Id DOM If I go with black pluming pipe 1 1/4 will the seals still Work.

what seals? building your own i assume? 1 1/4 black pipe has a 1 1/4 id if your seals have a 1" od the 1 1/4 will not work. also most black pipe readily available at a hardware store is not seamless i would say dom is a must. contact a local fab shop or metal supply

I have seen pic's on here of pluming pipe Being used 1 inch Inside diameter 1 1/4 od. Just wondering if the seals keep grease it.

You could use standard black pipe but do not. There is no tolerance on straightness and it will also have an weld ridge on the ID that is a pain in ass to deal with. Spending the $ on DOM is worth it.

oh bull shit thats what they used to be them built with. its 1 inch shed 40 galvanized. use the couplers to make seal housings. you cut the threads in the coupler out to accept seals. if you want to use a bearing vs a bushing then use a bell reducer .
