 prop shaft/shaft housing
i want to build my home-built LT with a 72in shaft, that seems to be the best length for a 16 in. transom. can someone tell me how long i should make the shaft housing, and what determines that length.

 Re: prop shaft/shaft housing
Guess I'll make the housing 60in,that's what the mad mud motor plans call for .that just seemed short even after adding the measurements of the prop ,washers ,and jam nut etc .if I add a bearing housing on the motor end that willshould be good enough.
