Top seal for 9 hp GD
Hey y'all... So I just got my first Go Devil and it runs great. I've ran this motor several times before I purchased it and never noticed this, but after I ran it last I noticed a lot of grease coming out of the top bushing area.
I called my buddy who I bought it from and asked if it was normal and he said yes, but this seems like an excessive amount.
What do you guys think?

Seems a little excessive. Seals are cheap id definitely try to keep a little bit more in the housing.

Re: Top seal for 9 hp GD
Who has done the upper seals/bushing on these things? Easy? I imagine the whole motor has to be taken off.
I thought about swapping the 9 with a 13, if I gotta take it off anyways, might was well do the swap.
Any advice? Tips?

You don't have to remove the engine, just the universal joint. Go-Devil has the owners manual on their website that tells you the steps to replace your seals.
