Guys, I've got a friend in the market for a new 6.5 mud motor for his layout boat. He's looking at Marsh Monsters, Stump Jumper, and PPF motors. Which motors have you guys had good luck with as far as power, reliablility, price, overall performance. Thanks in advance.

I love my SWOMP LITE from Back Water Inc. I got the kit and bolted it to a 6.5hp motor from Harbor Freight. No complaints at all.

Another hurrah for BackH2O motors! Hey Frank, I'd love to know what hull you are using for that little motor? I am a big guy like you and I would not mind getting a smaller rig to slay the ducks- of course I'd have to explain to my wife this necessity. I do miss that first 1436 jon with the 18 HP GD- real easy to move around and hide.

I've got it on a 1440 riveted PolarKraft. Super mobile!

BackH2O glider kit... Just got mine and bolted a 13 hp Honda and it's awesome. Smooth running and quick with my 1436. If you're looking for a kit or just a smaller mud motor, go with BackH2O.
