 Hot U-Joint
I just replaced my driveshaft and bearings on my 35 hp Beavertail. After reassembling everything and testing in the garage, the bearing cups on the u-joints are pretty hot to the touch. I never actually felt them before I did all the work (after running them) so I'm not sure if this is normal. Also, the bearing housings on both ends get hot to the touch as well.
Is this normal?
Thanks

 Re: Hot U-Joint
Not sure about Beavertail, but my 9hp GoDevil runs hot enough you can't keep your hand on it. What got my attention is that is was WAY hotter than my 24hp. Called GoDevil and they said if it ain't blistering the paint off, then I should run it, so that's what I'm doing. No problems so far.
