 13HP Beaver Tail & Decking
Well fellas, I have a Alumacraft 1436 and I'm planning on putting a 13HP Beaver Tail on it. If I have 2 full grown men, dog, decoys, gear, etc.. will I have enough juice to get up on a plane? Will I still have enough power to go through shallow mud flats with ease? In general will that be enough motor?
I'm also trying to get some decking opinions, looking for the toughest, durable and most reliable. I've seen plenty of different types and setups just trying to find the best.
Im a beginner, so any advice is much appreciated!

Re: 13HP Beaver Tail & Decking
I have a 13 Hp beavertail mounted on a 1442 alumacraft. Two men at 180 lbs and decoys it will plane. With three men it will not plane but still moves along at good pace. I have never ran it in the mud.
