Has anyone experienced a hot start issue with a Kohler command 25. Mi e will fire right up cold then after running hard it will try to choke out at low idle. Once it is off it is hard to light back off until the motor has cooled down. Usually ends up flooding before I can get it to start. Maybe float stuck on carb?

Could be time for a leak down test to see how the valves are sealing.

Might be an issue with the electronic fuel shutoff solenoid?

I took mine out and cut the needle off the fuel shutoff and then reinstalled the solenoid. I've been running it like this for years.

Let us know what you figure out, I am running an '02 25 hp Kohler and it's been a good one.

I rebuilt the carb and everything seems to be working good knock on wood. Definitely was some gunk up in there
