 Re: 5hp briggs long tail
we got two boats just like you runnin they are both homemade poke boat style one has a 6hp really short long tail and the other one is a 5hp i think with the same short tail we run ours in the timber in northern mississippi and have pushed 3 guys 200+ each at 5 miles in hour in the timber them little motors got some torque to them and have got us out some crap before

 Re: 5hp briggs long tail
right on man, thanks for the info, been little worried about this little motor of mine doing the job! im not try'n to get anywhere fast , we normal just use a canoe (i know canadian in a canoe hahahahahaahaha) but they work really good for the marsh we hunt just getting alittle tired of all that and not having alot of room for gear so if im alittle faster then that then im real happy , which i hope i am hahahahaahahah
