I used to have a 13 mb with the tank mounted on the motor...Don't know if godevil made on for sure, but its certainly possible.

Good question. I don't remember. I destroyed the boat it was on before I had to change the oil or plugs in it, and never really paid attention to motor stuff back then. It very well may have been a single cylinder. My brother and one of my buddies both have 16 briggs motors, and both have external tanks...

The 13 was a honda. Only other I ever remember seeing with the tank on top was an 11hp briggs...I dunno, call go devil and ask.

maybe his motor isnt a 16, i dont see where there is enough room on a v-twin for a tank unless its directly above the governer and throttle stuff. then the wieght would be an issue though.

Good point woodie. If it is a godevil, or any major brand for that matter, it will have a serial number on it. Wherever the serial plate is should be marked with who built it. Call them and ask what the motor is. If its a single cylinder, its not a 16 though.

well i did a search, there were some extremely old 16 hp briggs with built on gas tanks (like mid 70's) but i saw nothin new with it.

and cb, your 13 was a single cylinder.

The tank may be some goofy aftermarket thing. I'm sure you could remove it, and use a tank in the boat like the rest of us.

Yep that might be a GD frame but that engine didnt come on it. I bought the same set up and it was a lot of extra work. i asked warren coco and he said they never would use that set up, way to much weight on transom. you would have to buy a air breather, different carb "that one is a gravity fed",different muffler, and throttle cable.

Btw that is a briggs set up used on golf carts, skid steers, pressure washers ect.

Carb would be the same just needs a fuel pump. muffler would still work but has more back pressure

nope ,different carb, the gravity fed needle and seat are different. rated at .5 psi pulse pump would flood the bowl. i learned that the hard way. plus to rig you would need to buy a valve cover for your pump a mount bracket and the crank breather tube will need to be restricted to get proper pulse. btw that muffler rig blows hot air right on your oil filter over heating yer motor.

i'm not speaking for every motor out there, a briggs and a Techumsche are not the same motors. i bought the same rig just like this one and on a "briggs" 303400 series motor the gravity fed carb would load up and flood at 2 psi which is about what a pulse pump pushes. if you look at the briggs parts manual it lists carbs for gravity fed and pump fed. they even take different rebuild kits. I got a pump fed carb and it fixed my problem. btw it ran fine before the convertion.
