I just bought a 16hp GD longtail and am putting it on my 1432 jon. i am currently fixing this rig up and need to know do i need to put the battery up in the front? or do any other weight relocation. im only 190 lbs, thanks for all your help. these are just some photos of my project. |

My first rig was exactly like that and I had no problems I had my gas tank up front and my cranking battery in the back and never had a problem just be careful when you come off the gas not to swamp the back |

Its not as bad as with the SD because you and the actual motor are in the boat and you farther in than with the surface drive. |

I have a 1436 rivited boat with a 16 GDLT and I ended up putting pods on it because it was difficult to get on plane. but then again, I'm 6 foot 6 and 375lbs. so that couldnt had something to do with it. lol |
