I got an older 16 hp go devil. I put a tach on it ow 4050 in the water with load 3150. Now is the boat overloaded do I need to lighten the load. Or would a bigger boat Ie displace more do the same thing? I would like to run about 36 to 3800 |

What size prop are you running? Website shows it should be a 9x3. There is not a "one size fits all" when it comes to props, so you have to buy it according to what your loads are most of the time. My 16 gdlt on a 1436 boat would run 14mph alone and 12mph with me and a buddy. |

I have a 16hp godevil and I'm gettin about 3300 rpms in the water and that seems to be doing me pretty good. but then again I'm running a 9x5 prop instead of a 9x3, but its worn down probably 3/4 inch so it will be needing to be replaced soon. anywho. hope this helps. |

Both my kohlers, 25 and 27, were right around 3700 when running the fastest. Best speed I ever ran on the gps was 19.2 in the river. |

This part of the river is too close to the lake to have much current. Usually my speeds up river are <.5 of what my speeds are down river. |
