What could cause this? I have been noticing that i boat has been running slower so i gps'd it yesterday and sure enough I am only getting 19-20mph with a new prop an 2 people, compared to getting 23-24mph with 2 people!

Like vibration causing the screw to turn, losing the setting. Just a thought.

10x6 is for a 35HP

Website says a 10x4 for the 31hp, though I don't see a 10x4 for sale, but do see the 10x5.

Is this a new prop from GD or a re-build? Some of the re-builds have extra heavy cup and take away from rpms and speed also.

Except go devil changed the way they make there props and then changed the number for cup. So a 10x6 from before is no longer a 10 x6

This 31 is my second go-devil and I always have ran a bit bigger prop than what their rated for, and NEVER had this problem!

Where is the old prop that was running 23-24? Might want to put it back on and see what the motor does.

If it's not the prop and it's not the throttle assembly, might be time for a leak down test.

Whats a leak down check? I am having the same problem with my honda 24 lt mudbuddy. Been running a 9x6 and right around 3500 rpms put on a new prop and now 3100 rpms. I am going to gps it this afternoon and see what kind of speed I am getting. I may have to go with a 9x5 prop. I am running it on a 16 48 war eagle.
