Post Bought a frame. What engine will fit?
Bought my first longtail Go-Devil frame. Its a galv 72" frame and it had a 23 on it. I find Honda and some kohler engines for a better price than briggs on ebay. Will other engines fit? I dont wanna pay 1600 for a vanguard 23. Just seems a little high. I found a 24 honda for 1100 shipped but will it fit? I bought a geaux skiff and want something cheap on it to leave at a friends camp. Thanks for any help. ......jessie

It should fit i know they are interchangable in smaller class engines

Make sure the crankshaft hieght is the same, you may have to get a new u-joint yoke and drill some new holes

GD said Honda would be my best bet for a easy fit if not kohler would work but welding would be in the picture. I found a 23 vanguard for a ok price today but still a few hundred more that I wanted to spend.. Gotta keep looking I guess. :)
