I need some help please. I have a 24hp lt mudbuddy on a 16 48 war eagle. I had a prop that was worn on one side and I was afraid it was making the prop out of balance. I got the new prop on and my rps dropped from 3550 to 3100 in the water. My out of water rpms are at about 4000. Do you fellows think that by changing the prop this should cause this drop in rpm's. I am going to GPS it tomorrow and see what kind of speeds I am getting. This setup never has set the woods on fire from a speed standpoint with just me it GPS at 16mph with the old prop. |

new prop has more surface area= more resistance in the water= lower rpm but your getting more thrust |

What kind of speeds do you fellows think I should be getting with this rig? I put a new prop on last year and the new prop was getting 3500 rpms, I understand the new prop giving better thrust but I feel like I am moving slower thats why I am going to gps it. |

16-18 mph by yourself. Probably closer to 18 mph. I had a 27 hplt on a 15x42 and was getting 18 with a 1 person load. |

Thanks for the help guys I GPS my boat on Friday and am getting 15-17 mph by myself running at 3100 rpms. I have lost some rpms with the new prop but not any speed. |
