ok this may sound like a stupid question but is it hard to start a go-devil engine with the prop in the water? and btw my engine is only pull start :lol: so how hard would it be?

Just get ready to move when it starts. Remember when you pull the cord your not just turning the motor over your spining the prop in the water as well. Hope it's not a stupid answer:-)

lol yup i knew that was gunna happen, i just think it will be hard to start it by holding it out the water and pull starting it and im onlyin a 14x38 boat so not a whole lotta space lol

Tie a rope in your boat with a loop that slides over the handle to hold the handle down and prop out of the water.

You're go-devil should have a mercury switch. Its a 1 inch tube like object. Though i don't recomend moving it, you can reposition it to start the motor in the water.

When I have to use the pull chord, I usually tilt motor up so that I can stand on the tiller handle. This way you can use the tiller a leverage. Usually starts with on pull.
