Hey guys i have a 25 gdlt on a 16 48 and was considering changing boats. I have a guy that wants to trade a 16 36 just wondering what yall might think. |

well i have found that go-devil long tails sometimes go faster on longer, narrow boats. i had a 14x48 for my 13 h.p and i went about 13 mph. then i got a 14x38 and gained at least 3-4 more mph.i dont know if this helped or not |

You may gain speed, but you will lose a lot of stability. I run a 36 inch wide boat and it can get a little shady with a full load and a couple guys in it. its touch and go with a heavy load.. I'd stick with what ya got for sure!! |

i've run my 25 mud buddy on a 14x36....its fast, don't get me wrong, the boat absolutely moves, but its definately not the most stable thing. i never really had a heavy load in the boat besides a second person and some fishing gear |

thanks guys probably gunna stick with the barge i like the stability just gunna get up earlier and tough it out |
