I just picked up a 27 Kohler Mud Buddy long tail
Its running great- but the removable handle feels loose.

Ive always run a GoDevil and am not sure of the need for the removable handle.
Why is it there?
Any reason not to weld it on?

I hunt with a couple guys that are part of a hunting club and the room in the storage garage is very limited in length. when he takes his handle off he only have about 4 inches of movement forward and backward. and when you spin the motor into the boat, guys dont like having the handle sticking out the end of the boat for some reason. but your right, its not necessary to have a removable handle but sometimes it is convenient.
