my prop now is an 8x4 on my longtail and it is pretty ate up...so by the end of the season i will be getting a new prop. my 8x4 does ok in the mud, and in the deep water but i fine i can have a lil more prop on it. so i was wondering if i upgade to a 9x3, i will get better performance? |

yea that is true, yet the 8x4 seems to be a bit to small, what would you do? |

I would go with 8x6 more speed.. unless you take that rpm gov out.. then you can go with a 9 inch prop |

Im puttin a 9x4 prop on my 13 when its time, its only 1/2 inch more on each blade and it'll have a lil more room to wear down. |

I bought one of those 8x6 Ron Hill props. Seems to work ok on my 13 Van longtail. |

I gained about 2mph but this motor was a Scavenger. I converted everything over and built a frame so i could run a threaded prop. I've only been able to take it out once because everything is iced over here in Kansas. So far it seems like I'm getting good power/rpm. It took some pretty shallow stuff and never really bogged the motor down. |
