i have a bass tracker hull with a 16 hp gdlt on it and the transom is at 21" would it be a good idea to cut it down to 16" or would that be 2 low?

would it be to low for that style hull with no flotation in the back? if so could i put pods comin off the back

first off im pretty sure if you have a boat that skinny, it will get a little hairy at times......i know for sure your boat is long enough, as for width im not to sure...i would want to run a 16 on a boat that skinny, id go with atleast a 38 inch bottom....

i have a 1648 and cut the transom down to 16 with a 27 hp mblt. it sat low but i never had problems with back splash. you should be fine.
