Hey,

Is it normal for the longtail shaft to get warm......not hot, just warm on the section out of the water? I have a 27hp Beavertail, and it has the one zirk fitting in the middle of the shaft. I grease it regularly. It looks like it has sealed bearings at each end of the shaft...no grease leaking from either end. Last time out when I was loading up on the trailer, I noticed the top of the shaft was just a little warm, and the rest was cool. Water temp was close to freezing.

THANKS
