OK guys, just took my motor out again and got 18.1 mph out of it. That was just me in a 14X36 boat and a Ron Hill 8X6 prop, and yes that was a GPS speed. But that was a surface drive speed. When it was in the water I was averaging about 16 mph, so you can get good speeds out of a small motor. |

That's great speeds. Please elaborate on your engine setup and such. |

All I really have is custom exhaust and I've done some adjustments on the governor. I was getting about 3800 rpm at top speed, I don't think that's a bad motor speed with an 8X6 prop. |

that is def possible i got the same boat with a duromax 16 hp with a hopkins 8 3/4 x 5 prop and surface driving i get 19 mph and 16 down in the water also by myself but i know its not a true 16 like a vangard but its getting me good speeds for a 1/3 of the price and im happy with that |
