I recently purchased a 20 hp Honda Beavertail and am looking for advice on what would be the best boat? I live on a tidal creek which varies from 2" to 4' deep mud bottom, usually hauling 1 or 2 people and the dogs. What length? What width? thanks, smokewagon |

Well , you wont ever be able to haul ass with a 20 longtail and since you plan on draggin some loads I would go with with a bigger more comfortable boat. Longtails perform best on long narrow boats so I would say 18' x 42-48" wide |

Got a buddy that has a 20hp on a 16foot flat that is 60 inches wide. Seems to work quite well even in the rivers. Like the previous post you won't haul that mail but you will get there. |
