i just got a 1756 legend craft flat bottom and it has a 24hp Honda longtail with a 9x7 two blade. i have had it out 4 times and the last time was a windy day but i put the gps on my phone to it and i was only reading 8 mph. is something wrong i am not sure what speeds i should be expecting |

thats a pretty wide boat, im no expert, i think u should be gettin a little faster than that but choppy water and gear will slow lt's down quickly. how reliable is a gps on your phone too? just kinda curious |

checked the phone gps with my truck and its dead on. wind wasnt bad and speed stayed the same both directions. i had one battery, a full tank of gas, i'm 170, and my 75 lb lab. i am going to check prop size and look into a larger one |

yea my transom may even be a little shorter than 16. thanks for the replies yall, what would be a good prop size to go with? the one on it now says 9x7 and if i can go up in size i would sacrifice performance in the mud to gain some speed. i use it for fishing and getting through the flooded timber during duck season |

less pitch will push a load better, idk if weight is your issue. Is there any dents in the bottom of the hull? |

prop is way too small so i ordered a new 9x6 from backwater inc. i know there has been some negative reviews but i spoke with arlon on the phone for about 30 minutes and he seemed like a good person. supposed to get shipped out today so we'll see |
