 Long Tail buil Advice .Hey guy's I was planning on building a Short Tail but switched to a LongTail now. Just purchased the plans on ebay, hope they are good... anyways I was thinking about doing a 6.5hp longtail and I was thinking about putting it on a 1436 jon boat do you think it will be enough power or I should go with a bigger motor ???? I am not aiming for a speed. we should be 2 guys with a dog and stock not more than 150pounds. So in total about 650 pounds max !

Re: Long Tail buil Advice . Get atleast 13 hp, if the boat can handle the gained torque youll be happy.
