I just finished my Longtail tonight ran it in the driveway everything looked good all i gotta do is rig up the kill switch and put in the set screws on the upper bearing and drill a hole for the u joint screws. i do have a question about the lower prop washers where do they fit in the order of things right now i have the cap on then the machined prop nut then a washer then a prop then washer and then the 2 jam nuts im curious if the washers are right or if one goes between the machined nut and cap ?

so the two bronze washers go on either side of the prop it doesnt seem right for that machined prop nut to ride right on the cap like that i would think that there would need to be one there but like ie said i dont know which is right thanks for letting me know that i got it right so it wont hurt the cap having that machined prop nut riding right on it ?

Went you set the shaft you need to allow about 1/8" clearance between the cap and nut.

so dont tighten the nut to the cap well then what keeps the shaft tight in the housing ?

The yoke and set screw is what holds the shaft in place.
Also, the top bearing with a concentric collar.

I'd say its a good bit more than 1/8 on mine.
