I just ran my new motor that I just finished yesterday. I was impressed with everything besides the speed, but I am hoping with a new prop I can get little bit faster. My prop I have know is way way worn out, no cup at all and is for a 8 hp not 16. It was pushing my 14 ft at 9-10 with just two guys and a bow.

Those of you that are running a 16hp what size prop do you have? 8 by 4 or a 9 by 5?

Where would be a good place to buy, Hill Marine, backwater or other.

I bought a 9x4 from ebay but it was a hill marine prop received it quickly and had no troubles. I like to do my business through companys on ebay because you can kinda keep tabs on em and if things get screwy you can usually get a refund. I havent finished my build yet but I am gonna let my buddy try it on his new homebuilt and see how it runs sometime next week. He is running a 20 and I will be runnin a 16.
