Can you replace the standard knob throttle on a LT with a squeeze throttle that would drop back to idle when you let go, like on the surface drives??

You can do what ever you want! It would be a simple swap out . I actually made a twist grip with an internal cable for my 20hp GDLT ( cable ran through the center of the tiller handle.) It had some people scatching there heads!

I have seen a couple people do the twist grip on their long tails... Looks pretty sweet.

Just seems like a twist or a squeeze throttle would be a hell of a lot safer so If the handle gets jerked out of your grip it will drop down to idle atleast In stead of full speed

Not sure how hard it would be for ya but I'm pretty sure you could install a kill switch with a lanyard.

Does anyone have pics/suppliers/vids/ etc on how to install a squeeze or bike brake style throttle on a longtail?

Thanks,

i found an old bike someone had set out for the trash, got the brake lever (kept the rest of parts for repairing other bikes) used the rear brake cable, and a throttle kit from www. affordablegokarts.com. very simple to do.
