 Longtail on 13 gheenoe
I just put a 5.5hp longtail motor on the 13 gheenoe and am having some flexing issues in the back corners of the boat. Anyone have any ideas how to distribute the weight and force from the motor, it's beginning to crack the fiberglass in the corners of the boat. Any type of bracing or brackets?

 Re: Longtail on 13 gheenoe
I put a 23 on my 15 foot B60 RiverHwak which is almost identical to a gheenoe model of the same size. My transom had rotted so I redid it, but am going to redo it again as I don't like how it turned out.
Post a pic of your transom and we can give you some ideas. No one on here runs a gheenoe or RiverHwak but us.
