I have a 23 hp gdlt, on a gd 16x44 and i am wanting more speed, will a bigger motor like a 30hp line up the same with out modification, or do i need a surface drive motor? |

Im getting around 12-13 mph with 3 people, those long runs are kickn my @zz and take forever, i love the beauty of the long tail but damn is it a slow mother. |

Have you tried shifting wieght around? If alot of the wieght is on the rake, the transom, or one side the boat wont run its best. My hull is on plane at 13mph, but you won't get much more without a SD. |

Ive put people in front in back and the middle and still nothing, my prop is probaly not in the best of shape. |
