I built one using Mad Mud Motor plans from E-bay. I used a 8 HP motor and it turned out nice. The plans tell you everything you need to know and has lots of photos. You can't go wrong. |

Well, I finally finished the longtail but I can't seem to keep the prop In The water. Did I set the angle of the shaft wrong? |

No woodie, you have the wires on your flux capacitor backwards. Switch them around. |

I know this is off topic, but I'm looking at an 1854 GTR boat and motor. What kind of speeds can I expect from this? |

Also, what does a stage one for a 2 stroke 280cc Honda consist of? What gains can I expect? I would like to know the valve lash and cam specs for it if anyone knows that too. |

You only need blinker if you plan to operate it between 1 and 2 A.M. In reverse at speeds above 20 mph. Your prop is fine, the reason it's called an 8x5 is it starts at 8" but is good until 5" I am new to mud motors, where is the portal to enter blinking fluid? I assume it's the one on the top of the valve box? |
