I am fairly new to the forum and mudmotors so I figured this would be the best place to get some answers. I have buddy that is going through a divorce and needs to get rid of few things well I am buying his boat from him its a 15ft mod V ,tunnel hull with pods. I was looking into putting a longtail on the back of it and just use it to run around few marsh flats and sloughs but i dont know what size motor would give me best turn out. I was looking at 27hp Beavertail ,but I am also looking for some feed back is it even worth putting longtail on?

an outboard would probably be your best bet, especially with a jackplate.
