Post subject: | Throttle Cable |
My factory installed throttle cable broke (Go Devil Van 23hp)and the set screw on the throttle lever is too rusted to simply attach a new one. I am looking for some ideas on replacing with something more practical and easy to obtain. Scott |

I would think a regular pedal bike brake handle would be ideal. Plus you can get them in shorter handles like just the 2 finger pull models which may be handy cause you could rig it so just your pinkie and ring finger were on the throttle but yet keep the rest of your hand on the handle... Don't know have not done it yet, but thinking it would work pretty well. |

Has anyone tried a motorcycle twist grip which would make it like an outboard tiller? I don't see them on the factory set-ups so there's got to be a reason. If your tiller handle is 7/8ths inch diameter this would work. |

i re-did my throttle all together. i got a new cable and switched out the leaver for one off of a tiller. I also put a stronger spring on it so it will "spring" back. heres a pic. |
