Re: 35 lt run a 31gdlt on a 20x44 dgvl boat. very powerful and quite fast considering.. i touch 24mph unloaded and loaded to the gills with 3 ppl and all bowfishing gear i still get 18-19 and thats with an unbelievably worn prop.

Re: 35 lt 15/48 weldbuilt, I have put in some floors and gunboxs ,also i have a power trim unit that sets the motor off the transom 5 in and up about 3 ,I am running a 23 GDSD short transom on it right now it does ok but i think there is a better combo. The boat dry weighs 450 .

Re: 35 lt Have you thought about the 27. I'm running one on a 1644 Weld-Craft getting 21.5 unloaded and about 18 with 2 people and frogging gear. Personally, after looking at all the other longtail set-ups on this site, it seems from the 23 on up push about the same speeds. Looks like all you're gaining is low-end torque by raising the horsepower. I was thinking about the 35 also at the beginning but got the 27 and haven't been disappointed yet.

Re: 35 lt Yeah, but look how skinny that hull is. They say longer and narrow is faster but dayyum, 16 x 32 or 38? You need some flotation.
