I have a 16 hp Vanguard Longtail Go-Devil. It has been sitting up for a while and I got the engine running good but noticed that when it is running, looking at the prop it seems to have some play like it is moving up and down on the shaft. The nut is tight and prop is not moving up and down much 1/8 of an inch maybe. What is normal here? Can't move it much if any at all when motor isn't running. Thanks for the help guys.

It sounds like a bent shaft to me.

2X daddy! Some of the troops talk bad about GoDevil, but I've run my longtail since 98' and they have always gone out of their way to help me with any questions or problems. It always impressed me to talk to Mr. Coco HIMSELF when I called with a question. Just have your serial number available when you call.
