First of hi my name is steve and live down here in florida. love duck hunting and would love my new motor if i can get this bushing!

i have a 1999 mud buddy long tail with a 25hp kohler.

i am wondering if anyone knows wwere to get the lower bushing or bearing. i called mud buddy today and the guy i spoke to on the phone said i would have to talk to a technicion about ordering parts since the (99) yr model does not have a serial number on it. does anyone know someone who makes this part or sells? other than mud buddy.

thanks steve

p.s. hope there is a positive out there!

don't know where you are in Florida; just north of Orlando is Sid Thyssen, Fast Duck Motors; in Melbourne there is Lamarr Cox. (www.FLORIDAMUDMOTORS.COM 321-243-1035) I run a 2004 MB 27 longtail on the Big O and the Glades. Hope that helps, let us know what you found!

Sid is the man but i am on west coast (HUDSON) area. he has been very helpful so far when i went and purchased the boat on things to look for. I just dont like to bother him with alot of questions when he is trying to get everyone's mud boats fixed for the season!

(swampdonkey1) how long should the brass bushing bee? and is it a snug enough fit that you dont have to use any adhisive(epoxy) to hold in?

THanks for all your guys help :D

Steve, I know this time of year is busy. I forgot to mention Holloway sp? Marine in Floral City. Years ago I took my 18 hp longtail there for service- it was a long way from south florida but worth it then. This might be closer to you. I was looking at the map and I'll bet you have some salt water estuaries there that hold ducks. Wish I could help you with the dimensions of that bearing- I haven't had to touch the bearings since 2004 so I have no idea what they look like. I wonder if they have a schematic online? Good luck!

I've herd of holloway. And I think the 3/4 I'd and 1" od is right. And the huntin is pretty good Not as good as it should(to many sky busters the hunt up here) if I can see the ducks flying from my boat 800yards away. They just might be a little to far to hit. Everyone is lookin for that golden bb to shwak em.

Thank goodness those skybusters fade away after the opener and then the real hunters remain. A little patience is the ticket, those ducks will decoy even after "running the gauntlet" from up north to here. Like I said, those guys in Floral city are possessed of integrity and that is a rarity these days. Good thing our water levels went up because I wore down a prop back in teal season. Good scouting!

These bushings are pretty common. I used to buy them at the local ACE hardware. The ACE near me no longer sells then that large. I now get them at the motion industries store in my town. If you have a motion industries check them out. Otherwise you can buy them pretty cheap online through amazon or grainger or motion industries. I provided links to a couple bushings on amazon. They also come flanged if thats what you need. Hope this helps.
