 27 beavertail longtail lower bearing/seal
Hello,
I have a 27hp Beavertail longtail 2009 model. I ran it last week and then shot 2-3 pumps of grease into the zink in the middle of the shaft. After running if today I noticed a very small about of grease between the seal and shaft. Did I blow out the seal? Is a small amount of grease OK, or do I need to replace the bearing/seal?
THANKS

I think your ok. I would replace it after the season.
The fishers told me once that in that middle zerk one our 2 plumps a season and that is it.

Re: 27 beavertail longtail lower bearing/seal
I took the middle zirk out and some nice clean grease pushed out of the hole. Ran the motor for a few hours after and checked for a leaking seal. It looked OK, but I had A LOT of vegetation twisted around the bearing, so could not get a good test.
THANKS for any and all comments.
