Post subject: | Pressure Lubricator Question |
I have the Alemite Pressure Lubricator on my Long Tail. Recently it has been oozing grease from under the cap while I am running. What do ya'll think is causing this? I currently have the "lightest" spring in the lubricator. Could this be the problem? |

The seal that pushes the grease down in to the shaft housing is bad. Just replace the whole thing, no grease should be between the cap and the seal. |

There is a seal around the plunger in the lubricator. |

^x2. If you fill it all the way to the top, when the grease in the shaft heats up it either gonna blow through the bushing seals or take a dump in the lubricator. |
