I was wondering if a 9x7 prop is too big for my 23 gdlt. I cant keep the sob in the water for nothing. Thank yall. |

yes that is too big. my 25 ran a 9x7 but that was ONLY because I never loaded it down. |

GD lists a 9x6 for that engine |

It will run a lil faster loaded with a smaller prop. To keep it in the water you have to adjust the cav. Plate, it's been discussed a time or 2 |

I had a GD 23hp, and ran a 9x5. Do you have a tach? Optimal rmps for the 23hp is 3600 in the water. Also, if your prop was from GD, they will repitch if its new. |
